Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: All Paradox Pokemon & Where To Find Them
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The much-awaited Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games are finally out and with them, we’ve also got a bunch of new Pokemon and some new mysterious phenomena. One of those new phenomena are Paradox Pokemon.

In this post, we’ll go over what paradox pokemon actually are, a list of currently available paradox pokemon and finally, where to catch them!

What are Paradox Pokemon?

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Paradox Pokemon

Paradox Pokémon are new Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. These Pokémon are Pokémon brought to Paldea into Area Zero through use of a Time Machine. They are versions of already existing pokemon but, from a different time, with different types, stats, and movepools.

Paradox Pokemon are divided into 2 types, ‘Past’ for Pokemon Scarlet, and ‘Future’ for Pokemon Violet.

These mysterious Pokemon are described in the Scarlet Book and Violet Book, which both feature records of an expedition to an “uncharted area” of Paldea from long ago.

One thing to note is that these Pokemon are not regional variants of the old pokemon. They have their own Pokedex entries and numbers.

You can find a list of all Paradox Pokemon, Past & Future, in the lists below.

Where to find Paradox Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet?

The Great Crater of Paldea (Area Zero) at the center of the map contains a variety of Paradox Pokemon, but only after you’ve completed the main game and the credits have rolled.

The good news is that, unlike Legendary Pokemon, these Paradox Pokemon can be caught multiple times. This means you won’t accidentally defeat them while attempting to catch them.

There are a lot of powerful Paradox Pokemon, and many of them are as strong as pseudo-Legendaries from previous Pokemon games. So they’re definitely worth adding to your collection.

It’s also important to note that none of the Paradox Pokemon can evolve, even if their original version can do so.

That’s all we know about Paradox Pokemon so far, we’ll update this post if new paradox pokemon are introduced. So, be sure to bookmark this page and check it occasionally to see if there’s a new Paradox Pokemon.
